The day started with a demonstration from Enjoy Tennis players from Carlow LTC, Kilkenny LTC and Wexford LTC. The finals of the ITN 3 & below (Abbeyleix 1 vs Kilkenny 1) and ITN 6 & below (Hillbrook vs Kilkenny 2) events followed at 2pm.

The weather decided to cooperate and eventhough it was dull and cloudy, wind and rain stayed away. The players involved in the finals and demonstrations put a good display of tennis enjoyed by their supporters and other spectators.

The feed-back from all teams involeved has been so positive that Leinster Tennis has decided to make the South Leinster Winter League a regular event and use the experience gathered from it to build the number of teams events accross the full region in the future.

Thank you to Kilkenny LTC for hosting the event and looking after players and spectators, to the players that participated in the finals and demonstrations, to the spectators and to all those that contributed to make the day a big success.
