Leinster Provincial Towns Charity Tournament

The LPTC Charity Event took place on the 21st & 22nd of April. The presentation of prizes took place in the afternoon at Naas clubhouse.

Paddy Lennon thanked the players for supporting the charity tournament with their generous contributions and also their clubs.
He introduced Liam McFadden, the Cystinosis Ireland official, who spoke about the research being done around the world for this, presently, incurable rare disease.
Liam expressed thanks and gratitude to the L.P.T.C. for choosing to run the charity t'ment - as a fundraiser event for the benefit of Cystinosis Ireland- and he thanked the players for their generosity.
Paddy and Michael Hennessy presented Liam with the cheque of €4000 to Cystinosis Ireland.
The winning team for THE LEINSTER CHARITY Cup was Clane (1); the team captain, Cathy Walsh, was presented with Cup and the Pennant.
Clane LTC won the inaugural tournament in 2001.
Cathy thanked W.H.B.C. team for a great final match and said all enjoyed it. She thanked the Organizers, Paddy and Mick, for all their work in running the Tournament.
